I think I write to my client Gold's Marketplace weekly, "this is a place I want to go to!". They're signing amazing, locally-grown small businesses left and right. This November 3rd announcement is a fun one for those of us on the "North Side", one of the brewers of Joyride in Edgewater will be doing his own thing, and taking it nice and slow. UNIQUE BREWPUB CONCEPT LIVE SLOW BREWING CO. JOINS GOLD’S MARKETPLACE IN WHEAT RIDGE A New Brewer Aims to Capture the Colorado Lifestyle with Beers, Bowling and an Expansive Patio Across from Crown Hill Park
Wheat Ridge, CO – Nov. 3, 2021 – Gold’s Marketplace, is proud to announce a new brewpub concept called Live Slow Brewing Co. will join the vibrant gathering place in the 11,000 square foot space formerly known to many as Paramount Bowl. Live Slow is set to open Summer 2022 and will feature locally brewed beer, keg wine, a family-friendly menu and 3,100 square feet of outdoor patio space in addition to 6-lanes of boutique bowling as a restored element of the original bowling alley.
Live Slow is a concept by Joe Malouff who will be leaving Edgewater's first, oldest and favorite brewery, Joyride Brewing Company, with the support of owners Grant Babb and Dave Bergen. Malouff, an Edgewater native himself, remembers bowling at Paramount Bowl as a child and will now become the head brewer and owner of this prime location. Since the beginning of its revitalization, Gold’s Marketplace has been attracting a new collection of diverse homegrown tenants that will draw visitors from the immediate area as well as downtown Denver with popular local businesses such as Queen City Collective Coffee and Esters Neighborhood Pub. The expansive square footage of Live Slow’s leased space allows for an advanced brewery where Malouff can create beers under his own label, and brew for other brewers, including Joyride.
“It’s with the support of my Joyride family that I’m able to take a new step in my career and bring this new concept to the Denver area,” said Malouff. “I look forward to creating beers that are unique to Live Slow as well as brewing for other local partners. This space allows for a lot of options including extended brewing, bowling and a full menu of food. It’s going to be the place to be in Wheat Ridge, a place where everyone can take a minute to enjoy the day.”
Live Slow Brewing Co. will be modeled after the ideal Colorado lifestyle of slowing down and taking time to play. The brewery will encourage guests to “Slow down & smell the hops!” with the sloth as their mascot. Beers brewed under Live Slow’s own brand will focus on light, easy-drinking and approachable options to pair with a well-rounded menu of burgers, salads, sandwiches and entrees that will make this an easy meeting place for Denver and Wheat Ridge residents. The extensive outdoor patio facing Crown Hill Park will be activated with live music during the summer months and will of course, be dog friendly.
Gold’s Marketplace, owned by Quannah Partners and Outpost Investments, completed a major upgrade to the full shopping center in summer 2021 including a full refresh of the surrounding parking lot, upgrades to the landscaping, new wayfinding and signage throughout. The exciting tenant mix includes Berkeley Park Running Company, Cosmo’s Dog Biscuit Bakery, Em’s Ice Cream, Esters Neighborhood Pub, Gratitude Hair Studio, Little Brazil, Station Dental and Queen City Collective Coffee. Gold’s Marketplace can accommodate tenants requiring spaces of 1,100 square feet, 3,000 square feet, and 6,000 square feet, only those three suites remain.
